Be careful on Mondays!
Why Mondays?
Because it is known that most heart attacks happen on this day!
Dr. Jean-Claude Nerette explains that the heart is so extraordinary that not only is it where we feel love, but during an average lifespan of 75 years, it would beat 3,363,840,000 times. Also, your heart is the only organ that, if it stops working just for a few minutes, you would check out for good… Think about this and ask yourself if you are really aware of how important it is to take care of it!
Obviously, there is a ton of specific aggressive information available to all of us, but not everybody has the will to comply with all of it, and not doing anything may lead to future health complications.
Dr. Nerette recommends even marginal small changes in your lifestyle, nutrition, physical activity, and stress level to make a significant difference for this wonderful organ. Here are a few simple recommendations to put you on the right track:
- Walk 20 minutes daily
- Laugh a lot
- Sleep at least 8 hours a night
- Do 30 minutes of yoga or meditation weekly
- Reduce the use of tobacco and alcohol
- Reduce the sugar consumption and include veggies of all colors
- Practice good dental hygiene
- Drink water
When you accomplish these small changes, he says, you’ll be feeling much better and motivated to continue building on your accomplishments and you would be on your way to a better and longer life.
He always says that you need to add life to your years, and years to your life!
So, if you choose a start day, why not next Monday?
